The Boondocks Season 2
The season opens with Huey, Riley, Jazmine and Granddad sneaking into a movie hall. Usher’s appearance in the show brings about a split in Sarah and Tom. Granddad’s most valuable possession Dorothy, a car is stolen by thieves and the responsibility comes on Huey, who is a witness to this. Granddad has another unpleasant experience with a woman named Luna. Riley gets lucky this time, as he is taken into Thugnificent’s Lethal Interjection crew and given the crew’s official chain and also starts to walk, talk, and dress like his favorite rapper, Gangstalicious. He also join’s Toms basketball team and learns how to cope with humiliation and the agony of defeat. Nature’s disaster Hurricane Katrina, is given reference to in the show and it’s after affects are brought out.
Granddad’s decides to go on a vacation, leaving children with uncle Ruckus. The history of slave revolt is also brought out. In the last episode of the season Huey takes a high profile decision of going on a hunger strike against BET.
