Well, as I said in my earlier post, there is no news on ‘The Boondocks’ season 3 so I am just reviewing my favorite episode of second season of series. Today, I am gonna write about ‘The Hunger Strike’, an episode which was supposed to be a part of the second season of ‘The Boondocks’. This episode has been aired in Canada but was never aired in US because of some controversies. If you’ve not watched it yet, it means that you don’t know what happened next to ‘The Story of Gangstalicious, Part 2′. All events began inside of BET headquarters and the fictional president Debra Leevil was seen presiding over a board meeting. The topic of discussion was how they’re destroying black people and how they could bring down more blacks. Then came the issue of Huey Freeman. The man was on a hunger strike stating that he would not eat until a public apology is made for creating BET. He said on CNN “I’m going on a hunger strike and will not stop until BET is taken off the air”.

At Freeman family’s dining table, Granddad and Riley started teasing Huey by eating his favorite stuff when he was just drinking water. They’re trying to make him realize that strike was a completely bad idea. Next, Rollo Goodlove came to support and they started boycotting against BET. Soon, a TV channel showed both of them campaigning; Uncle Ruckus appeared to support BET. Rollo and the evil lady made an agreement, Huey was unaware of all that and Rollo was ready to stop the boycott if they could give him a show. Ultimately, the last scene of the episode showed Huey eating veggie burgers.

So the Huey Freeman lost the bet because of his companion’s cheating…poor Huey! Well, if you’ve not watched it yet, you can download the complete second season of ‘The Boondocks here and can also watch online episodes of series. Hey… I’d be back when ‘The Boondocks’ returns with the third season.
